Green River Lake was designed and built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE). The lake was designed for many uses, which include flood control, fish and wildlife management and water conservation. The lake is highly noted for excellent bass and musk. More here.

The Southern Cumberland’s newest recreational area, opened in 1969, is in the heart of Green River country, located in Taylor, Adair and Casey Counties in South Central Kentucky. Six miles south of Campbellsville and eight miles north of Columbia.
The 8,500 acre lake provides excellent recreational facilities easily accessible to all of Kentucky. Green river Reservoir is within two hours driving time of Lexington, Louisville, and Nashville. The Green River Reservoir Dam is 26 miles upstream from Greensburg, Ky. More here.
